Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease caused by ineffective use of insulin and inadequate insulin production in the body. The aim of this community service activity is that elderly cadres are able to carry out elderly posyandu activities in accordance with standards and carry out diabetes foot exercises in an effort to control elderly blood sugar and improve the quality of life of elderly people through empowerment and increasing cadre competence to prevent diabetes complications. The target of this activity is 60 cadres and elderly people in Panji Village. The activities carried out are posyandu assistance and diabetes foot exercise training activities. The instrument used to assess the competency of cadres and the elderly before and after being given diabetes foot exercise training was an observation sheet. The results of the observations were then analyzed using the Wilcoxon test to determine differences in the competence of cadres and the elderly before and after diabetes foot exercise training. The results of data analysis showed that the p value = 0.000 < 0.05 and the calculated Z value was -7.211 < 1.96, this shows that there are differences in the competence of cadres and the elderly before and after diabetes foot exercise training.
